Night closures will start on the A465 Heads of the Valleys road on August 24 (running until August 27) to support the installation of a temporary bridge above the road at the Brynmawr end of the scheme.

Costain say the work can only be safely undertaken within a full closure, which will commence at 8pm each night with the road reopening before 6am.

During the course of the closures full access will be maintained through the site for emergency services vehicles, which will be escorted by Costain’s traffic management team.

There will also be controlled access across the closure at the Saleyard and Gilwern junctions.
