The Walnut Tree in Llanddewi Skirrid has been included in a new Top 50 'Must Eat' list compiled by some of Britain's most famous foodies.
The Kenwood Food Lovers Bucket List has been compiled for Kenwood by a panel of culinary experts including TV chef Simon Rimmer, writer and editor of Waitrose Kitchen magazine William Sitwell and restaurant critic Giles Coren.
It covers the essential food experiences that Brits should have in a lifetime; including ingredients to try, recipes to make at home, UK restaurants to visit and culinary adventures around the world.
Ingredients to try include fresh British asparagus and Beluga caviar while culinary adventures around the world range from catching and cooking a mackerel on a beach and consuming coffee and croissants in a Parisian café to toasting a haggis with Scotch whisky.
The Walnut Tree is listed as a place to enjoy lunch because of its outstanding cooking and no nonsense approach.
Head chef, Shaun Hill, was delighted to have made it into the list.
"We're very grateful for the recognition, especially given how influential the panel members are in the foodie world. It's a fantastic accolade for us."
Simon Rimmer explained, "We've pulled together what we believe to be the ultimate, unmissable gastronomic experiences for food-loving Brits. From the simple pleasures of a pork pie, to soaking up the spice markets of Marrakech, there's something on there for everyone. We hope it inspires foodies to get out and try new things."
And it follows new research from Kenwood that shows how much Brits have become obsessed with food - with seven in ten Welsh people (68 per cent) quizzed saying they would choose a great food experience over any other 'life' experiences, including pampering, animal safaris or extreme sports like sky diving!
