MUSIC and drama companies which make their home at Abergavenny’s Borough Theatre will be joining forces next weekend for the venue’s traditional ‘Welcome to Christmas’ performance.

Organised by A4B the organisation representing Abergavenny’s amateur theatre community, this year’s evening of fun and music will be based around?Christmas at the Movies and will be packed with festive music from films like It’s a Wonderful Life, The Grinch, Home Alone, the Polar Express and The Muppet Christmas Carol.

Performed by members of AAODS, ALOC, Abergavenny Pantomime Company and Breakthrough Productions, the evening will also offer the audience the chance to join in the fun with the traditional Christmas sing-a-long with traditional carols and songs from O Come All Ye Faithful to White Christmas.

Musical director for the evening Sarah Fowler explained, ‘This is a chance for many of Abergavenny’s theatre companies to join forces and celebrate the festive season together.

“We try to make it as much fun as possible and hope that the audience comes along, has a free mince pie and glass of mulled wine and enjoys it as much as we all do.”

Welcome to Christmas can be seen at the Borough Theatre on Sunday, December 18 at 7.30pm and money raised at the concert is used directly to support the theatre.
