TWO local lads are celebrating after being part of the team that won a gold medal for Wales at the Home International rowing regatta held last Saturday at Cardiff Bay.
Both Robert Tod and Louis Paterson competed alongside their team-mates to produce a tenacious and battling performance and win the Junior Mens Coxed Eight event for their country.
This is the first time that a team from Wales has won the event, and Tod and Paterson were absolutely elated and ecstatic to win in an event they have been focusing on for some time now.
Still only 18-years-old, both Tod and Paterson have a bright future in rowing ahead of them, and hopefully this first gold will be one of many.
