Longtown Mountain Rescue Team was called out by Gwent Police after a woman fell near the summit of the mountain.

The team used its Land Rover to take members and a paramedic to the scene.

Jason King, from Longtown MRT said, “The team’s 4x4 is vital in reaching injured people in inaccessible locations. On this occasion we could get to her quickly with pain relief and then take her straight to hospital.

“We all wish her a speedy recovery.”
