Police are hunting thieves who made off with building equipment worth thousands of pounds after breaking into a construction site lock-up in Llanfoist.
Officers at Gwent Police say the offender(s) moved heavy-duty construction vehicles before smashing their way into the lock-up just off Merthyr Road.
Two Stihl disc-cutters, a vibration ‘whacker’ plate and a petrol-powered water pump were taken sometime between 5pm on May 18 and 6.45am the next morning.
A police spokeswoman said, “We are appealing for information after a burglary which took place at a lock-up on a building site just off Merthyr Road in Llanfoist.
“If you have any information regarding this incident please call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 58 19/05/16.”
