Police appeal for witnesses after alleged assault
An alleged assault which left a young man with concussion has prompted police to appeal for information - a month after the incident.
A 21-year-old man was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital back in November after police found him lying in the road near Frogmore Street with injuries to his mouth and nose.
The incident occurred near the junction between Frogmore and Regent streets, Abergavenny, between 2am to 2.30am on Sunday, November 5.
A spokeswoman said, “Gwent Police received a call from the Ambulance Service reporting a 21-year-old man from the area, lying in the road.
“He was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital with injuries to the mouth and nose, as well as concussion and has since been released.”
Officers believe the man was assaulted and are asking anyone with any information relating to this incident to call 101 quoting log: 69 05/11/17.
