EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a light aircraft crash on the A40 Raglan road just outside Abergavenny.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the area as the road is closed with diversions in place.

According to reports on social media there have been no fatalities although some people are believed to have sustained serious burns. It is understood that no cars were involved in the incident.In June 2016 three people were treated for minor injuries when the Piper Warrior II aircraft they were travelling in crashed on the same road.
