Police arrested a man who was ‘acting suspiciously’ on Abergavenny’s Monk Street during the early hours of Saturday morning.

A police officer was injured during the incident, receiving non life-threatening injuries.

A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said, “A 30-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving whilst disqualified, and driving with excess alcohol. 

“He appeared in court on Monday September 24 and has been bailed.”
