Burglars smashed into two neighbouring homes before stealing a prestigious car and jewellery, last week.

The culprits broke a glass pane in a PVC door before ransacking the property, then finding keys to the home next door and burgling that also.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the double burglary of the adjoined semi-detached properties in the Llanvihangel Crucorney area, north of Abergavenny.

The burglars escaped with a silver BMW 320i, and items of jewellery were stolen. Police said both properties were damaged during the break-in, which happened between 7.15am and 1pm on Tuesday, July 10.
