The A4042 has been shut to all traffic after a collision on a major roundabout near a busy train station and a hospital.

Gwent Police has advised motorists to find alternative routes for their journeys and to avoid the area while work to reopen the carriageway continues. Traffic data from the AA is currently showing serious delays between McDonald’s roundabout in Pontypool and Cwmbran roundabout, diversions are currently in place which may cause congestion around New Inn and Pontymoile.
