The AGM of the Monmouthshire Golf Club was held recently and Mr Steve Parry, a long time local resident and businessman, was welcomed as the Club Captain for 2016/17.

The meeting also welcomed the new Ladies Captain, Mrs Dawn Towell and heard of the club'’ improving position and positive future.

Steve Parry said, "As a local guy I have loved this club for many years and I am honoured to represent it in my year of office. The club is in good shape and we want to use our strength to attract new players to golf, particularly in the juniors and ladies section of the club."
