ABERGAVENNY Town Girls Under 13s returned to winning ways with a 8-1 demolition of Coed Eva.

On a very wet day, the girls played some fantastic passing football topped off with some excellent goals.

Attackers Macey McCann, Ruby Gould, Eleri Jones, Carys Pond and Meg Welford all caused havoc in the Coed Eva defence.

Midfielders Gracie Grosvenor, Sophie Engel, Chelleter Graham-Sawyers, Isabella Rudge and Mia Sherrard all controlled the game, providing the ammunition for the front players.

Defenders Bella Wilce, Cristyn Powell and Bobbi Allcock remained solid at the back with keeper Katie Barker controlling her area well.

Goals came from Eleri Jones(3), Meg Welford (2), Macey McCann, Ruby Gould and Gracie Grosvenor.

Abergavenny Under 13s players and coaching staff would like to express their gratitude to Steve Allcock of Creative Difference Training (business improvement consultancy) for their kind support in providing the team rain jackets. They certainly came in useful this weekend.

The girls remain top of division one with a trip next week to Llanyrafon.
