FTER enjoying such a fantastic free day out in
Abergavenny I felt that I had to write and congratulate the
organisers and participants in the Cruise Control event in
the Fairfield Carpark.
MP rolls up her sleeves on 'repeated' litter reports on Abergavenny estate
'Accessible' parking bays painted with white lines can't be used by disabled drivers
Two-storey extension in rural village refused due to conservation concerns
Abergavenny restaurant shortlisted for prestigious Italian cuisine awardNot only was the event free it promoted safety on and
around the roads for all ages. It was a fantastic
informative day and was well attended even though the
rain didn't hold off all day.
The support of local drivers, Damian Cole and Peter Lloyd
and of course the legend that is Nicky Grist really pushed
the message home that racing us something for the track
only and not for our community roads.
Although Abergavenny sees some fantastic events
throughout the year few of these are free to all. May I
again say well done to everybody involved. Important
messages were well promoted and I hope this event will
become an annual event, only getting bigger and better.
