ARE you sitting comfortably? They certainly were at Meadowbank Nursery, Abergavenny during a sponsored ‘Listen’ in conjunction with Usborne books.

Head of Meadowbank, Claire Pudney said, ‘We did the sponsored listen to help celebrate and encourage a lifelong love of stories and reading at home and nursery.

‘The children had great fun reading and listening to stories and raised over £400 which all went towards brand new books for our nursery. Usborne then gave us 30% more in free books.’

Usborne organiser, Claire Boulter stated, ‘The event was a pleasure to organise, especially helping to choose the free books, it’s my favourite part of the job.’
