THE Chronicle’s weatherman Jonathan Powell has warned that bad weather over the coming days could see a repeat of recent flooding in the area.

"A succession of Atlantic low pressure systems sweep the region over the coming days to once again introduce the prospect of flooding across Monmouthshire and Powys," said the weather expert.

" A saturated ground coupled with spells of heavy rain may well generate a similar set of circumstances which led to the flooding several weeks ago. With Thursday expected to also see spells of heavy and at times torrential rain, the rain that has already fallen this week could well merge with Thursdays accumulation to generate flooding, with all the vulnerable areas once again at risk," he said.
