ABERGAVENNY rower Rhian Jinny-Jones's rise to prominence continued apace on the weekend when she added another gold medal to her haul after fighting off the competition at the 2009 Welsh Indoor Rowing Championships.
Rhian is definitely making her mark on the sport of Indoor Rowing, which is the World's largest indoor participatory sport, because following success after success in the sport, she added another feather to her cap on Saturday when she took gold in the U23 lightweight category.
Rhian, who is also the owner of a locally based and successful sports nutrition company said, "I was pleased to be able to compete at all, having had the flu quite badly in the last few weeks.
"So to be able to take gold was a real bonus. Thank you to all who helped and encouraged me."
