MONMOUTHSHIRE school achieved outstanding A level results once again surpassing the Welsh average.
Of all students taking the WJEC examinations 99.1 percent passed with grades A- E surpassing the average of 97.6 per cent.
The performance at the top A grade was 29.9 per cent of all Monmouthshire entries achieved compared with a Welsh national figure of 25 per cent.
Performance at all levels within Monmouthshire schools was excellent with A-C passes at 82.7 per cent. The pass rate of AS level remained high at 93.8 per cent.
Andy Keep, Monmouthshire County Council's Corporate Director for Lifelong Learning, said, "I am delighted with the results achieved by our students and I wish them well for the future.
"The excellent results at 'A' level is something of which all involved - students, parents and teachers - can be truly proud.
"The very high performance at A level has been improved further which is a fantastic achievement. Particularly pleasing is the increase in the pass rate at the top A grade with 29.9 per cent of all pupils achieving this standard, out performing the Welsh average by almost five per cent."
