MONMOUTH’s Conservative MP David Davies has welcomed the shock announcement of a General Election for June 8 and said he aims to “help secure” a majority for Theresa May in June.

He said: “I am looking forward to putting the Conservatives case to the electors and helping to secure a big majority for our excellent Prime Minister Theresa May.”
