GWENT Police is investigating what happened in the lead up to an elderly women sustaining a shoulder injury in Abergavenny last week.

A section of Cross Street was cordoned off to the public on Thursday, July 7 after police received a call from the Ambulance Service at 11.30am following an incident where an 88-year-old woman was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital where she received treatment for a shoulder injury,

Three police cars and an ambulance attended the incident near the Borough Theatre.
