Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between two vehicles on Friday August 5 on the A465 at Llanvihangel Crucorney.

The crash involved a Blue Hyundai Getz and a Silver Ford Focus and happened at around 4.50pm.

Officers believe the incident was witnessed by the occupant(s) of a dark coloured vehicle.

A male was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old man from the Monmouth area was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
