Police are appealing for information following a robbery at Belgrave Road, Abergavenny which occurred between about midnight on Saturday (November 16) and Sunday morning (November 16)

A 25-year-old local man was walking from the direction of Nevill Hall Hospital when he had his silver iPod Nano stolen.

He also sustained a minor head injury in the incident.

As the injured man walked back to the hospital for treatment, an elderly gentleman, described as having a beard, grey hair and carrying a walking stick asked him if he was OK.

Police are appealing for any information about the incident and in particular for the elderly gentleman to contact them on 101 and quote log number 102 17/11/13
