County Councillor Peter Fox is set to lead Monmouthshire County Council for another year.

The Portskewett councillor was nominated by deputy leader Councillor Bob Greenland who said he has done a "fantastic job of steering the council through difficult times."

Accepting the position, Councillor Fox said, "Thank you for proposing me and the kind words, I appreciate it and for the continued support during the challenging times."

He thanked Councillor Greenland, Cabinet members, chairmen of all other committees and the staff at Monmouthshire County Council.
