A MENTORING project aimed at getting adults into employment, education or training has been launched in Monmouthshire.
Named Communities for Work Plus (CFW+), the project hopes to motivate and support people aged 16–64 to gain employment.
Community Employment Mentor,Michelle Long, will be helping people in north Monmouthshire and will be based at local job centres.
The CFW+ project will be able to access funding to support a range of opportunities such as funded training as well as providing information and support for further education courses and work experience.
Valuable one to one support and mentoring is available to those who need specialist help and have been out of the employment for long periods. The team can help to overcome individual and personal barriers.
The project is funded by The Welsh Government in a bid to reduce the number of people in or at risk of poverty, increase employability of people in Monmouthshire and improve the level of skills and training.
