NEXT week sees the relaunch of the Abergavenny Chronicle's popular monthly publication The Abergavenny Gazette and Diary, which will be delivered free with the newspaper every month.

After an absence of almost a year, The Gazette and Diary is set to return in a new pocket sized glossy format and as always will be a lively mix of local news, fashion, health and beauty tips and arts news.

Featured every month will be film reviews by the Gazette and Diary's new cinema expert Nathan Jones as well as book reviews by Tim Butters and the latest information about events in the town and surrounding area.

Also included will be a brand new feature by local chef Simon King, of 1861 at Cross Ash, who is inviting keen cooks to submit their culinary questions to him.

"We are delighted to be able to welcome back The Gazette and Diary and look forward to making an exciting blend of articles and news which all our readers will enjoy," said Abergavenny Chronicle General Manager, Mary Purcell.

"Everyone at The Abergavenny Chronicle is very excited about this new-look Gazette and Diary and we all look forward to working to develop it over the coming months," she added.

"We hope that readers will enjoy reading the Gazette as much as we have enjoyed putting it together and that anyone who would like to contribute to it will get in touch with either me or Chronicle Editor, Liz Davies."

"We want the Gazette and Diary, like the Chronicle, to reflect the views of the local community, and it can only do that with continued support of our loyal readers, for which we are always grateful," she added.

Look out for the all new Gazette and Diary in next week's Abergavenny Chronicle.
