?A man was assaulted during an altercation involving three men over the weekend, and ended up needing hospital treatment, police have said.

Witnesses said the man was attacked in Abergavenny’s Get Together bistro on Saturday evening as the Abergavenny Food Festival was in full swing.

Police confirmed they were ongoing in their enquiries. ??A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said, “At approximately 7:50pm on September 15 2018, we received reports of an assault on Nevill Street in Abergavenny.

 

“The altercation involved three men. One received treatment at Neville Hall Hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening. Enquiries are ongoing.”??Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact police on 101.
