VOLUNTEERS are needed to help the Keep Abergavenny Tidy group with their latest clean-up on Saturday.

They are cleaning up the lane between Penypound and Chapel Road, meeting at the entrance to the lane in Chapel Road, which is 100 yards from Brecon Road, at 10am. The aim is to clear litter along the lane which is an attractive pedestrian route in the town and is well used by the public, many of them visiting the Old Station doctors' surgery. If you are in town on Saturday you can link with the members of Keep Abergavenny Tidy group in Red Square who aim to raise awareness and promote volunteering.

This is the latest in a series of initiatives with Keep Wales Tidy, the Environment Agency, Monmouthshire County Council and the police to raise awareness of the litter and fly tipping problem and how to dispose of waste properly.
