EIGHT candidates are to contest the Monmouthshire seat in the May 5 National Assembly elections.

Sitting member Nick Ramsay hopes to keep hold of the seat in the face of opposition from Labour’s Catherine Fookes and Veronica German of the Lib Dems. Also fighting the seat will be Plaid’s Jonathan Clark, Stephen Morris of the English Democrats - Letting Monmouthshire Decide, Tim Price of UKIP and the Green’s Chris Were.
