A series of free workshops aimed at helping budding entrepreneurs launch their own businesses will begin throughout Monmouthshire this month.
Backed by the Welsh Government’s Business Wales service and delivered by experienced advisers, the workshops are designed to provide in-depth knowledge, develop practical skills and inspire confidence.
A variety of topics are covered, including business and financial planning, pricing, marketing, sourcing funding, recruitment, legal and compliance issues.
Starting and Running a Business, taking the Plunge will run on Monday, October 16th from 9.30am to 4.00pm in Monmouth and in Newport on Thursday, 19th October.
Councillor Bob Greenland, Cabinet Member for Enterprise at Monmouthshire County Council said, ‘One of the council’s priorities is to support business and job creation so we’re delighted to recommend these helpful workshops’.
Business Wales’ Regional Manager for South Wales, David ap John-Williams, commented, ‘A central part of our strategy at Business Wales is to encourage and support business start-ups, growth and job creation across Wales.
‘We believe our workshops provide a great opportunity for people in the area to gain an understanding of the key principles and practical skills, required to start and run their own business’.
