Officers on patrol in Abergavenny stopped a car in Tudor Street at around 9.30am on Tuesday 28 March after it was reportedly seen driving in an anti-social manner.

The car was seized by officers as the driver of the vehicle was previously issued with section 59 warning.

He was arrested on suspicion of committing a public order offence but then de-arrested by officers.

Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 means officers can warn drivers or riders of a vehicle that is being used in a manner which may or is likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to the public.

A vehicle can be seized if, following the issuing of a warning, is used in a similar manner within the preceding 12-month period.
