AN EXHIBITION promoting local businesses is being supported by the Welsh Government's Regional Centre Service.

The first Networking Business Exhibition is being held tomorrow (Friday) at the Angel Hotel, Abergavenny between 10am and 2pm.  The event has been organised by the Abergavenny Ladies Business Association (ALBA) with assistance from the Welsh Government's Regional Centre Service.

Alyson Hunt, Senior Customer Service Officer of the Welsh Government's Regional Centre Service, joined ALBA 2 years ago after meeting founder Val Stowell at a networking group.  Alyson said, she had seen an increase in the number of businesses joining ALBA and how the group had been successful in bringing companies together.

Alyson also said, "Val and I had talked about how we could highlight the businesses and the business community within Abergavenny and came up with the suggestion of holding the town's first Business Exhibition.  Val was aware that the Service organised many events in the South East Wales area and was very keen for us to be involved in the organising of this event.  There has been a overwhelming response to-date and it is hoped that a lot of networking will take place during the exhibition."
