AN Abergavenny solicitor and two crewmates have set out on a 3,000 nautical mile rowing challenge across the Atlantic from La Gomera in the Canaries to Antigua. They are due to leave La Gomera harbour today at 11am.

Elaine Theaker aims to be part of the first all female crew to take part in the NOMAN race to raise awareness of the need for boys as well as girls to be given the HPV jab. Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination helps eradicate the 5 per cent of cancers caused by the HPV virus.
