No action taken at 'domestic' callout for fire service

A fire crew from Abergavenny was spotted on Frogmore Street this lunchtime as they raced to the scene of a smoke alarm sounding at one of the buildings.

In a statement, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had been called to report in the area, but no further action was required.

“SWFRS received a call at approximately 11:54 to reports of a domestic smoke alarm sounding on Frogmore Street, Abergavenny,” a spokesperson said.

“Crews from Abergavenny attended the scene, no action was required. STOP message was received around 12:06.:
