A NEWPORT man has appeared in court following a stabbing in Blaenavon on New Year’s Eve.
Lewis Thomas, aged 25, of Sycamore Avenue, appeared at Newport Magistrates Court on January 2 charged with two counts of section 18 assault - wounding with intent, being in possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place and common assault.
Thomas has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Newport Crown Court on January 15.
