Thieves broke into a local church before smashing a padlock and pilfering donations left by visitors.
Police said on Monday that the culprits stole change from the donation box at St Mary’s Priory Church, Abergavenny, sometime between 1.30pm and 5.30pm on Sunday.
“At approximately 9:45am onFebruary 12 we received a report of a break in at St Mary’s Priory Church in Abergavenny,” said a Gwent Police spokeswoman.
