POLICE are warning residents to be vigilant following an an increased number of reports of dwelling burglaries and thefts from unsecure vehicles.

“A crime can happen in seconds, please don’t make it easy for thieves by leaving tempting valuables on display. Officers are carrying out patrols and house to house enquiries in the areas affected,” said a police spokesman.
The warning comes after a 27 year old woman from the Abergavenny area was due to appear in court charged with two counts of burglary and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
