NATIONAL Highways have confirmed that the emergency works have been completed on the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge and it is now open in both directions.

The bridge was closed due to repairing 35 faulty lighting columns, that were at risk of collapsing. National Highways have also said the 7.5 weight restriction has been put in place again on the M4 bridge.

There will be an advisory 40mph speed limit over the bridge.
