A couple have praised a local business for the part their staff played in making their son’s ninth birthday a special day.

Gavin and Kelly Plumley’s youngest son Caleb has severe autism as well as global delay.

Says Gavin: ‘‘Caleb has a love for certain things in life and latches on and studies every detail of them.

‘‘He loves the company Thomas Waste Management, especially the trucks.

‘‘The firm got involved when they found out about Caleb and that it was his birthday.

‘‘They came to visit him at his birthday party with his favourite truck, they also had coats and a uniform made for him as well as toys and other things.

‘‘For a local company to do so much just to make a little boy smile at such a cost to themselves was just incredible.

‘‘Myself and my wife would love for them to be recognised for what they’ve given out little boy.’

‘‘We as parents were just so taken aback by the compassion and lengths they went to for our little boy.

He received toys , stickers and lots of other goodies from the team at Thomas Waste.

Caleb’s favourite driver Anthony even gave him special gifts for his birthday.

‘‘This company at a large financial costs to themselves went out of there way to make this little boys birthday such a special day.

‘‘Such an amazing beautiful gesture from these amazing people .

Thank you so much.’’
