A charity golf day held at the Monmouthshire Golf Club in Llanfoist on Friday July 1 has raised £5,000 for Cancer Research Wales.

Captain Stephen Parry was delighted to involve Hazel Thomas (chairman) and the ladies of the Crickhowell Committee of Cancer Research Wales.

The day was blessed by fine weather (mostly!) and teams enjoyed hospitality, both on the course and in the clubhouse.

Both the captain and committee members were grateful to all of the generous sponsors for the day and Monmouthshire Golf Club who provided delicious food for all the golfers.

They also wish to thank the 132 golfers who supported the event for making it such a great success.
