All change at Aber Town

ABERGAVENNY Town, who are already in training, begin their pre-season preparations in earnest on Saturday when they entertain Aber Valley YMCA FC.

Aber Valley has proved formidable opponents in the past with Town managing to win by the odd goal in two previous meetings in the FAW Trophy and Welsh Cup.

It’s all change at Pen-y-Pound with Ben Bannon taking the helm as first team manager, Rocky Hudson as assistant and coach, whilst Phil Hemmings remains in charge of the reserve team assisted by Josh Williams.

With Aber Valley who play in Division One of the South Wales Alliance, bringing both their first and reserve teams to Pen-y-Pound, it will be an action packed afternoon. The first team match kicks off at 1pm followed by the reserves at 3pm.

At Town’s recent presentation evening the following awards were made

First Team Manager’s Player of the Season – Jac Evans

First Team Player’s Player of the Season – Dafydd Brewer

First Team Supporter’s Player of the Season – Brett Alderson

Reserve Team Manager’s Player of the Season – Ieuan Evans

Reserve Team Player’s Player of the Season –Owen Vaughan

Reserve Team Supporter’s Player of the Season – Ben Bannon

Club Person of the Season – Jeff Parry

Terry Jones Memorial Trophy – Chris Wilkins
