Abergavenny’s proud status as a destination for foodies will be underlined when its famed food festival returns at the close of summer.

Returning for the 19th year, Wales’ largest food festival welcomes in September an illustrious cast of the culinary world’s biggest names.

TV chefs Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Tom Kerridge, have confirmed their appearances on the Borough Theatre stage, alongside chefs Darina Allen, Gill Meller, Olia Hercules and Freddy Bird for the September 16-17 event.

The food industry’s calendar occasion will host an expanded array of offerings and a night market.

Other highlights include a pop-up feast by crowdfunded restaurant Edinburgh Food Studio and family-friendly activities, including a new ‘edible education’ space.

The official event will also be preceded by a community dinner on September 14 and additional pop-up feasts and evening celebrations on the following day.
